The Grace of a Finisher
Updated: Jan 2, 2019
Happy 2018!!! I am glad you are here. I hope you have great plans for this year? This will be your best year yet in Jesus name.
A new year is the time when people make resolutions. I prefer setting goals because they are more realistic and I can break them down to short term goals over the year that way I can celebrate many victories along the way.
One thing a lot of people leave out is asking God for grace to finish all the resolution or goals. "I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase"( 1 Corinthians 3.6 KJV). It is very easy to start something at that moment you have all the motivation you need, nobody can tell you anything. Fast forward 6 weeks later all the motivation has disappeared, there is a popular saying "motivation gets you started habit keeps you going" I beg to differ and say "motivation gets you started GRACE keeps you going"
2017 was the year I really got serious about my health, I joined a private gym and for the most part I was happy to go workout but there were some days when I wasn't having it. On those days all I did was pray to God for grace and strength. There is nothing you can do as human that the grace of God can't help you achieve. From the small stuff to the big stuff and all the in between stuff His grace is enough.
The end of a thing is more important than the beginning, so there is no point making a resolution or setting a goal and not completing it . I hope this post has given you a different perspective on resolution and goal setting.
Here are five easy resolution to keep
Make your bed every morning, it can count as the first goal you achieve everyday and if you have bad day you will come home to a made bed.
Smile at one person everyday.
Invest in your relationship with God.
Always Remember, You can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens you
Make it a great 2018,
