Gone are the days when you have to look like masqurade becuase you are trying to protect your skin from the sun. The beauty industry has come a long way but there is still room for imporvement.
You should be wearing sunscreen all year round, just becuase you can't see the sun in winter doesn't stop the impact it has on our skin. Please don't fall for that myth that melanin skin doesn't need to be protected from the sun because it does.
I have tried several sunscreens over the past few years, I had high hopes for some of them and was disappointed. I will be sharing the ones that worked for me, maybe one of these will work for you.
There are two types of sunscreen: Chemical sunscreen and Physical or Mineral Sunscreen
Chemical Sunscreen: This type of sunscreen allows the UV light into your skin, then this creates a chemical reaction that coverts the light to heat and it is expelled from your skin
Physical/ Mineral Suncreen: This type of sunscreen usually contain zinc oxyde, it sits on the skin and prevents the UV rays from entering the skin

Supergoop Glowscreen
Type: Chemical sunsreen
Pros: This is another sunscreen you can use if you want that glow. I used this on my last vacation in Dubai and this was what I wore during the day and it didn't disappoint. This also comes in four different shades, I consider this a plus
Cons: It was a litte oily on the skin but this can be fix with a transluscent powder.
My top two are glowscreen and Shiseido. I use the glowscreen when I am going to the gym, I like the glow it gives me post workout. The shiseido works perfectly when traveling, and since it is a stick sunscreen it is not subjected to the 311 TSA liquid rule . Did you know you are exposed to more UV rays while flying ? Remember to always pack sunscreen in your carry on.
Question of the day: Do you use suncreen? Share in the comments.
Until next time, remember, you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.
Thank for sharing Dami,
I use sunscreen but not as often as I should and now that you've pointed out that there are mineral ones and chemical ones so I'm just going to go with mineral. I'm trying to stay away from endocrine disruptive chemicals in the cosmetic.
Thanks for sharing it, It was nice to see how your skin was protected and glow on our entire stay at Dubai, I've join the glow screen crew
