Reflecting on International Women's Day 2026 and the role of community in helping women thrive in every stage of life.
What happens when women support one another intentionally?
Families grow stronger.
Communities become more resilient.
And the next generation rises with greater confidence and possibility.
This idea sits at the heart of this year’s theme for International Women’s Day 2026 — “Give to Gain.”
The theme reminds us that when we invest in women — through encouragement, mentorship, knowledge, and opportunity — the benefits extend far beyond the individual.
This belief is also central to my book, How I Can Do All Things: A Woman’s Guide to Thriving in Every Role, which explores how women can thrive through intentional habits, faith, and supportive community.
In many ways, when we give to women, we all gain.
What “Give to Gain” Really Means
The idea behind “Give to Gain” is simple but transformative.
It calls individuals, communities, and organizations to actively support women by:
Sharing knowledge
Creating opportunities
Building supportive communities
Encouraging leadership
Investing in women’s personal and professional growth
Giving does not always mean financial support. Sometimes it means giving time, guidance, encouragement, or access to resources that help women grow and thrive.
These acts may seem small, but their impact is profound.
Why Supporting Women Matters
Women today carry many roles — leaders, mothers, professionals, caregivers, mentors, and entrepreneurs. Balancing these responsibilities can be rewarding, but it can also be overwhelming.
Too often, women are expected to do everything without the tools, systems, or support needed to truly thrive. That is why the message of giving is so important.
When women receive the right support systems, they are able to:
Build healthier routines
Lead with confidence
Contribute more effectively to their communities
Raise empowered children
Pursue purpose-driven work
Supporting women is not just about individual success. It is about collective growth.
How “Give to Gain” Relates to My Book
The theme “Give to Gain” closely aligns with the message of my book, How I Can Do All Things: A Woman’s Guide to Thriving in Every Role.
One of the ideas in the book is the importance of community. Women thrive best when they are surrounded by support, encouragement, shared wisdom, and accountability.
Thriving in multiple roles — whether in faith, family, career, or purpose — is not meant to be done in isolation. It is strengthened through relationships with others who are willing to give their time, knowledge, and encouragement. When women support one another, share experiences, and build meaningful connections, everyone grows stronger.
This is the essence of “Give to Gain.” By giving support to one another, we create communities where women can grow, lead, and thrive together.
In How I Can Do All Things: A Woman’s Guide to Thriving in Every Role, I explore how healthy habits, intentional routines, faith, and strong community can help women navigate their many roles with clarity and purpose — without burnout.

Closing Thoughts
International Women’s Day is a reminder that progress happens when we intentionally invest in one another. The theme “Give to Gain” challenges us to think about how our actions — whether through encouragement, mentorship, shared knowledge, or community — can help other women rise.
When women support women, we create environments where growth is possible, leadership is nurtured, and purpose is strengthened. Small acts of support can have lasting impact, not only for individuals but for families and communities as a whole.
